Back in the Saddle

Nearly a month after my last post and my how time has flown! CNY was spent mostly working although A. and I managed to get up town to see the firework display in the Harbour. Unfortunately the cloud cover was very low so we could only see the bottom part of the display - impressive nonetheless and we accompanied A and K to my office for the best view.

We finally managed to book a holiday - Cebu in the Phillippines. We had a terrific time. The Shangri-la Mactan was an excellnet hotel- good food and facilities and a wonderful location next to a sandy beach surrounded by palm trees. The grounds were extensive and included a 6 hole pitch and putt course which K and I went round a couple of times. A. had a wonderful time in the kids play area and E. and W (we went to Cebu with some friends) enjoyed the spa (as did I on the final day). We did not manage to leave the resort apart from the trip to and from the airport - may be next time we will explore a little more. The flight was only 2 hours although it was "Phillippines Air" in fact it was a Cathay Pacific aircraft.

Back to reality now with a grey and overcast HK - both A and V aren't well so a very quiet weekend. Managed to avoid the trip to Las Vegas but I am going to that other well known gambling capital Macau on Wednesday.
