Full house

Very hectic few weeks with brother in law (D) and girlfriend (K) closely followed by Cousin (C) staying with us (overlapping for a short period). Like London buses, no guests for months and then 3 turn up at once. We therefore had a very full house.

The weather has been smiling over the last couple of months (averaging around 29 degrees although much more autumnal in the last week or so following a major rainstorm). Did manage a trip to the Valley for the races with D and K. Excellent food and view at the Cathay Pacific Wing Box. Even managed to win a couple of bucks on the horses (law of averages I suppose after my complete lack of success on my two previous visits). Also seemed to spend a disproportionate amount of my time in Smugglers in Stanley which was adopted by the three of them as their local - certainly has a very good jukebox which probably paid for itself by the custom we gave it during the week that they were here.

Great excitement for A to have so many relatives in Town to see him (and of course V). Particularly taken by C's large dragon tattoo (nicknamed Eric for the duration of the visit). Also very keen on the remote controlled helicopter brought by C from Zuhai (where he had been working on an airshow hence his stopover in Hong Kong) although promptly confiscated by Dina which was probably just as well with V. in the house.

Since their departure I have had nose very firmly to the grindstone at work although excellent news from my Sister M who last week presented the family with a little boy J. Definitely something to look forward to when we go home for Christmas. Into work again tomorrow but the prospect of some time off next week so fingers crossed that the weather improves.
