Buddha's Birthday

Public holiday in the Big Lychee today so, after a month long hiatus, I have picked up my keyboard and updated this blog. Not much to report over the last 4 weeks apart from spending even more time at work than normal (today was a welcome exception......). Still playing tennis on a regular basis with P and we had a great evening atMain Street for the F. A Cup final last Saturday (E. came along as well and there was 7 of us in total). Matters helped by the fact that Chelsea won.

It was my Mother's 80 birthday on Monday - celebrated in Spain at my Sister's place so making contact was not easy - my parents have still not got used to mobile phones but I did eventuially catch up with them.

We are seeing them all in mid-June for a combined 4th, 40th (my Sister) and 80th birthday so definetly looking forward to that.

Buddha was definetely smiling on us today as it was the first sunny day for about a week - HK was certainly more Bladerunner than Sub-tropical paradise. Met some friends at the LRC for a swim and lunch and then took Alex to his tennis lesson and then on to Stanley. We ended up in Starbucks but the water front was alive with flags and cheering as the Dragon boats were put through their paces.

Back to the grind stone tomorrow.
